We bought the farm...

I am still in shock that this is actually my reality now as opposed to my dream... On September 21, 2021, we went to Dallas to see Korn and Staind in concert, it was an amazing show (love me some Aaron Lewis) and there were overpriced margaritas served in tall glasses that looked like the leg lamp from Christmas Story... On the very bright and shiny morning of September 22, 2021, we drove from Dallas to Jacksonville Texas (perhaps with a wee hangover) and "bought the farm"... We had spent years looking at ideas and picturing our farm... We wanted twenty to fifty acres, with lush grass, fat animals, and gardens of Babylonian proportions... I even dreamt of our future farm complete with a chicken coop that looked like a pirate ship... After a few unexpected twists and turns, we found the future home of Anarchy Acres Texas, a seven acre once upon a time horse ranch... Driving up the driveway for the first time I was overwhelmed by how weird it felt to be doing it in reality... I had built, and rebuilt this farm in my thoughts and dreams but here it was all ours and ready to become...
I was ready to start picking out cows, chickens, goats, you know; ALL THE ANIMALS... Luckily, I married a man who likes to plan and over plan... Our first big decision for the farm was to delegate... As much as I would have loved to build this place from the ground up, we had to acknowledge our limited skills and time we had to prioritize and relinquish some of the jobs to professionals... Yes, I might be a little bit of a control freak... After an eternity (two months) and just 2 days shy of Thanksgiving we finally moved in, and our adventure officially began...
